1838 SDUK Map of New Zealand [Reproduction]

This interesting early map now shows Cook's "Banks Island" has been corrected to a rather inaccurate peninsula. The area around Foveaux Strait and Stewart Island is still poorly defined. The interior of all three islands remain sparcely defined. The Maori names for the North and South Islands are used.
